Le leader du MRC appelle par ailleurs à la libération de ces 15 militants et sympathisants du MRC
Dans un message en Français et en anglais publié sur sa page Facebook ce 29 juin 2020, l’opposant estime que ces personnes sont des «défenseurs des libertés, héros du combat pour une démocratisation véritable de la vie politique camerounaise … Ils sont victimes d’injustice et de règlement de compte pour leur engagement politique ».

Aujourd'hui comparaissent devant la Cour d'Appel du Centre à Yaoundé: 1- Mamadou Yakouba Mota 2- Mutagah Sylvanus Tifuh 3- Siewe Wilfried 4- Tchatchoua Christophe 5- Yemga Serge Thomas 6- Nana Serge 7- Siewe Eric 8- Wafo Jasmin 9- Megaptche Poumda Ghislain 10- Kouam Alexis 11- Tchinda Mathieu 12- Tamonang Guy 13- Sitchou Sadio Sidoine 14- Nyayo N. Michael 15- Dongmo Ajouatsa
Ces défenseurs des libertés, héros du combat pour une démocratisation véritable de la vie politique camerounaise, sont de facto des otages du régime illégitime de Yaoundé. Prisonniers politiques condamnés dans le cadre de procès kafkaïens et nocturnes, ils sont les victimes d'une injustice criarde qui procède en réalité du règlement de compte politique. Nous ne cesserons jamais de nous battre pour que leur cause soit entendue et que leur bon droit triomphe face à une justice visiblement aux ordres et à la solde de quelques groupuscules assoiffés de pouvoir absolu. Comme eux, d'innombrables autres prisonniers politiques originaires du NoSo et injustement condamnés vont aussi comparaître ce jour devant la même Cour. Il en va d'eux comme de ceux dont les noms sont ci-dessus énoncés. Envers tous ces héros, la patrie est reconnaissante. Leur combat porte. Car un jour nouveau est à l’horizon pour notre pays.

1- Mamadou Yakouba Mota 2- Mutagah Sylvanus Tifuh 3- Siewe Wilfried 4- Tchatchoua Christophe 5- Yemga Serge Thomas 6- Nana Serge 7- Siewe Eric 8- Wafo Jasmin 9- Megaptche Poumda Ghislain 10- Kouam Alexis 11- Tchinda Mathieu 12- Tamonang Guy 13- Sitchou Sadio Sidoine 14- Nyayo N. Michael 15- Dongmo Ajouatsa
These freedom fighters, who are the heroes of the struggle for a genuine democratization of the Cameroonian political life, are the de facto hostages of the illegitimate regime of Yaoundé. Political prisoners convicted in kafkaesque and nocturnal trials, they are the victims of a glaring injustice which in reality proceeds from the settlement of political accounts. We will never cease to fight for their cause to be heard and for their right to triumph even in the face of a judicial system visibly under the orders and on the payroll of a few small groups thirsty for absolute power. Like them, countless other political prisoners from NoSo, who are also unjustly convicted will also appear before the same court today. We will never cease to fight for them as well.
To all these heroes, the homeland is grateful. Their fight is successful. Because a new day is on the horizon for our country.
